From September 19th to 22nd, Arrmet will be representative of Made in Italy at the first edition of I-MADE, an exhibition dedicated to the excellence of Italian design, curated by Giulio Cappellini and hosted at the Saatchi Gallery, close to the main routes of the London Design Festival.
The exhibition consists in a sensory itinerary through craftsmanship, production experience and the aesthetic values of Made in Italy.
Arrmet will therefore participate in the events of the London Design Festival 2019 displaying Piana by LucidiPevere, Kiyumi by Tomoya Tabuchi and Macka by Note Design Studio.
The furnishing products exhibited by Arrmet -all available for the UK and International markets- are the result of aesthetic and functional research, aimed at comfort and directed to communicating productive quality and the designer’s creative vivacity. The results are highly recognizable products that create a fascinating sculptural composition within the Saatchi Gallery.
Piana, a table program designed by LucidiPevere made up of different shapes and sizes, is a project that is born around the theme of materiality. The idea comes from the desire to extend material, colour and finish of the top to the structure as well – be it with a central base or with trestles for rectangular and oval formats – returning an intact, robust and single-material object. Piana is, in fact, a simple metal frame, a tool for architects and interior designers who can complete it and merge it into their projects.
Japanese designer Tomoya Tabuchi has designed for Arrmet a collection by the name of Kiyumi, a Japanese word that means “arc”. It is a collection of great constructive complexity, even in its linearity with its sinuous structure in painted steel, in which seat and back in curved wood are inserted. The highest production technology and attention to detail are perceived by the absence of visible screws.
Macka seats, conceived and designed by the Swedish Note Design Studio team, are inspired by the natural world. Macka, in fact, in Swedish is that stone that bounces once thrown on the surface of water. The shapes of the elements that make up these seats represent the perfect “macka”, with which we all have, at least once in a lifetime, played. Macka chairs and stools are ideal for dining rooms, thanks to their soft and inviting appearance and small dimensions. The armrests are designed to comfortably embrace the body and the conjunction with the backrest is the fundamental characteristic that creates a holistic expression of lightness and elegance.
