Archiproducts Design Award 2019 for Kiyumi

The Kiyumi Wood AR, designed by Tomoya Tabuchi for Arrmet, has won the Archiproducts Design Award. The award, which celebrates excellence in design, aims to take stock of the international creative scene, enhancing the ability of companies to anticipate future scenarios. The jury, made up of architecture firms, communication agencies, journalists and photographers, has included Arrmet among the winners of the Furniture section, along with some of the most interesting brands on the Italian and international design scene.

Kiyumi, which means “arch” in Japanese, is a seating collection where the seat and curved backrest are attached to a sinuous tubular steel frame. Screws that hold together the structure with the back are invisible, in line with the absolute neatness of the object itself: a constructive solution that has let Kiyumi Wood AR, the wooden armchair of the collection, to stand out among hundreds of other proposals.

Thus the lucky series of Arrmet’s products continues, after last year’s recognition for the Macka chair by Note Design Studio in the same category. See Macka at ADA 2018.
